A Mid-Week Treat

This past week, Jeff's company was opening a new theater in Panama City Beach. I took a couple days of vacation so I could make the trip with him and we could spend his 30th birthday together.
So we sent the "kids" off to daycare, packed up the car, and headed to Panama City Beach on Wednesday morning. We stayed at the Marriott, which was beautiful. It wasn't on the actual gulf coast beach, but tucked back into a bay with it's own private beach.

The theater opening was successful ....

Both nights we were there, we enjoyed delicious multi-course meals like the one on this customized menu for our group!

My days were spent exercising and then relaxing by the pool. I even enjoyed a trip to the hotel spa for my first facial, which was amazing!

Unfortunately, Jeff didn't have the same luxury since we were there for him to work. On our last morning there, we took a short walk to the hotel beach and saw these horseshoe crabs swimming along the shore.

On Friday, we headed back to New Orleans, and made it back just in time to pick up the dogs from daycare. It was a nice little mid-week get away, especially for me, but we wish we could have stayed longer.

Sake's New Look

The hair tumbleweeds have begun to surface on our hardwood floors once again. This can only mean one thing... its summer haircut time!

So here she is before......
