Eating My Words

Sure enough, today when I got to school to pick up Cassidy, I went out to the playground to find her and she wasn't there.  She was inside getting cleaned up from her accident... poop in her pants!  AAACCKK!

I guess I had that coming with the last post.
:)

The Potty Chronicles: Update

Cassidy continues to go to school in underwear.
She has yet to poop on the school potty, but she seems to be comfortable peeing there now.

She comes home in the same pants and underwear most days (I think she's had an accident at school 1 time in the last 3 weeks).  She still has the occassional accident at home, usually when throwing a tantrum about something or when she's too engrossed in playing to stop to pee.

We've had a string of successful poos in the potty over the past few weeks, and actually I can't remember when her last incident of pooping in her underwear was.  We are still giving her stickers after her successes, but her interest in them is no longer consistent and sometimes she says she doesn't want them.

We still do the potty dance with every success!

And Cassidy usually does the potty dance for mama, daddy, or even Nana and Papa when we pee or poop in the potty, throwing our names into the song she sings.

Cassidy is still in her crib at night, so we haven't started night time training yet.  Though several times after we've gotten ready for bed (and peed within the last 15 minutes) she'll ask to take her diaper off to use the potty again.  I think this is just a stall technique, but she get's me nearly every time with it.
She's in a diaper for naptime too, though sometimes she wakes up dry afterwards.  I'll have to check with daycare about starting to skip the naptime diaper as well, but I think they do that with a lot of the kids.  Maybe we'll just practice that at home for a while.
