2007 Annual Camping Trip

The annual camping trip, which takes place the week after father's day every year, was once again a great time. The baby theme carried over from Wisconsin, as we got to meet our new nephew, Lukas, Bill and Jen's son.

We enjoyed ourselves just sitting around the campfire, relaxing by the lake, and spending time with family.

Another trip to Milwaukee --- Our friends and their children......

In June, I made my traditional trip home for father's day weekend. I spent a couple days with my parents, and dad and I went to get facials and then out to lunch for father's day. Jeff flew up later in the week, and we drove down to Illinois to see Jamie and Jeremy's new addition to the family, who we missed seeing by a couple days our previous trip home at Easter time.

While in Milwaukee, I also had a chance to visit my old friend Robert, and meet his son.

As always, I stopped in by Sandy and Chad, and played with Mikayla and Danika, but forgot my camera. I also had a chance to see Rich and Cheryl, and was amazed how quickly their little Maddie is growing up!

It seemed like the theme of this trip was "my friends and their children." I guess we are indeed past that stage of our lives when we go to weddings every month, and we've moved on to the baby shower and children stage. Hmmmm.....
just to refresh your memories, here's a couple pictures of our kids..........

After a couple days in Illinois, we drove back up to Milwaukee, and then flew up to Minneapolis for the 2007 annual camping trip. Check out the next entry for some camping photos!

Where should I start? ... Illicit activities at Cafe Du Monde!

Well, it's been months since I've updated this, so I guess we'll have to step all the way back to May.....

In May, Traci and Tom came down to visit us for the weekend. We spent our weekend eating our way across the city, including the not to be missed....

Hurricanes and Mint Julips at Pat O' Brians,

Beignets at Cafe du Monde,

(as Traci pointed out, it looks like we've been up to something really illicit in this photo!)

Oysters at Drago's after a walk along the riverwalk,

Dinner at Dick and Jenny's (a first for Jeff and I also!) and Stuffed French Toast and Praline Bacon at Elizabeth's. We did take time out from the restaurant tour to take a cemetary/voodoo tour, which was pretty interesting.

Tom also scheduled a show while here, and hopefully he'll get a few more bookings here in the future! If you'd like to check out his work, go to http://www.moonshinesway.com/ for a schedule of upcoming shows!

Thanks for visiting Traci and Tom!!!
We had a blast and hope you'll come back again.
