Easter at the Zoo

Nana and Papa were here for one last visit before heading back up to Wisconsin. We spent the morning at the zoo and then had an Easter egg hunt around the house and easter baskets from Nana and Papa, including a new push shopping cart, bubbles, a curious george book, and other goodies. She indulged in several cadbury caramel and cream eggs and got a kick out of opening the plastic eggs to find out what treat was inside!

Cassidy enjoyed the zoo, but had a little trouble seeing the animals from so
far away when they weren't moving much.

She especially liked the Children's Petting Zoo where she bravely touched a snake, a guinea pig, a donkey, chased the goats,

and ...

found out that roosters peck when provoked.

Her favorite lately seems to be monkeys which she enjoyed seeing, but not as much as she enjoys putting on her new monkey pajamas at night. I've yet to get a picture of these because it's usually the last thing on my mind as we wind down for bedtime. I'll work on getting a video of Cassidy making the sign for "monkey" complete with monkey sounds.
