Global Wildlife Center

In the past few months, we've taken a couple trips to the Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, LA.  It's incredible!  The first time we met our friends Connie and Jackson from Cassidy's class.  Cassidy made another trip with Grandma and Grandpa when they visited.

And as a special treat .... When Mom and Dad's friend came to visit from Wisconsin, we took a private tour on one of their jeeps.  This was amazing!  The driver will take you where ever you'd like to go, so our first stop was the giraffes since we didn't get to see them on  the previous visits.  If it were up to me, I'd just hang out with these gentle giants the whole time.  But Cassidy got a little freaked out with them actually sticking their heads right into the jeep with us.  So we moved onto to some other areas, with Cassidy's requests being the llamas and camels since she likes to feed them.

With the jeep sitting lower than the wagon train used for the general tours, the animals are MUCH closer.  Watch out for those zebras... they are pretty aggressive and will bite if you try to feed them by hand.  We just poured the food from the cups into their mouths.

The private jeeps are the way to go if you can justify the extra expense.  They require a 4 person minimum (so even if you only have 2, you pay for 4.  It's $35/person plus the food which is $30 for a large bucket)
