Dates with Daddy

Cassidy and Daddy go on "dates" when I play volleyball, need a day or night to myself to do whatever, or I just need a break from being 'mommy'.  They've gone several places including...

Chuck E Cheese

City Park

Storyland

(where they ran into classmate Taylor and the girls enjoyed standing in line and going on the rides together!)

Audubon Zoo

The Aquarium

Most recently though, date night has been the Hornet's Games!  Jeff first took Cassidy to the arena in preparation for our Christmas trip to Minnesota when we went to a Vikings game.  She's usually very upset by loud noises and situations, so we thought it would be a good chance for her to experience the crowds before the big game.

SHE LOVED IT!
There was a bounce house she got to play in before the game.
She got her face painted.

She got to eat nachos! (without the cheese 'cause "that's spicy!")

She got a balloon!

She saw girls in sexy santa suits...

oh wait, that was Daddy that enjoyed that part!

Since then they've been back to see the Hornets a few times.  Cassidy always comes home grinning and excited about some part of the experience.  Yesterday morning, Jeff mentioned to Cassidy that I had a volleyball game but it wasn't until late so I would still pick her up from school.
She said "No.  I want to go to the Hornet's game!".

Well, sure enough, there was a game last night.  So Jeff got tickets and surprised Cassidy when he picked her up at school for date night!
Cassidy made the Jumbotron last night!  I'm still trying to find a link to the picture, but here's why...

Cassidy saw someone painted like a cat during Mardi Gras.
Since then, she requests a tiger or cat when getting painted.
Its hilarious because she is always scared of what she sees in the mirror when they finish!
But then she recovers and spends the rest of the night "roaring"!

Thank you, Jeff, for being such a wonderful husband and dad.
We appreciate all you do for us everyday!
